With a passion for helping leaders grow and use their gifts, Wendi Kroll brings more than 25 years of human resources experience.

As an executive coach, Wendi seeks to develop and understand each leader as a whole person, because as she says, everybody brings their whole self to work. She combines empathy, problem-solving, accountability systems, and active listening to help leaders become the best version of themselves.

Throughout her career in HR, she’s seen firsthand that employee engagement is essential to organizational success, and that the first step is to build a foundation of trust among leaders and team members.

Wendi founded Essential HR Inc. in 2003 to provide experienced, professional HR consulting services to hundreds of organizations—both onsite and offsite—and has served as the organization’s CEO for more than 15 years. She also writes leadership development programs for leaders and is developing and teaching a course on HR and operations for nonprofits through The University of California, Irvine.

Wendi has studied for her Masters in Clinical Psychology as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

She lives in San Clemente, California and enjoys spending time with her son and daughter, her two dogs, and her amazing friends. In addition to horseback riding, water sports, working out, skiing, yoga, and interior decorating, Wendi loves being involved in her church community.
